Hey guys that was great fun Sunday ( best fun I've had in 25 years but couldn't say that in front of the missus and kids!)- I think ACUSA will be much closer between the CR125's, and Marshy will be very hard to beat there in the all powers! But we'll give it our best shot. Hey Marshy saw your post about reed valves - none of us are running them, just using a Jastco spigot adaptor to suit the Mikuni. No need if you're jetted right - mine runs beautifully as is with a 34mm. However I think there are people out there (NSW) running 36 and 38mm where they might help! Will have my brothers bike on methanol for ACUSA ( carby didn't turn up in time) so hopefully he will be more competitive too! Good luck - Rob.

YEr im on another project mission for a guy interstate and have slightly differant rules or should i say viewpoints over there, ( as opposed to our as your saw, more "practical" take on it. So im flushing it out this side so the spot lights not on him over there and so peeps dont start to ask question on him. its one of them how you say 'left hand not able to see what the right hand can do'. the story is a blend of our facts and little deception, otherwise they would pick the track over there and the rider. ( actually the pricks picked our was circuit racing in about 2 post. there not bunnies) if i get a chance ill try to get one of the other bikes going for acusa but ill need a front brake, but i really hate that track, someone should actually pick up all the big stones for a start, and that top corner hairpin should be on a MX track not a circuit track, but hey who listens to the riders.... Tony Cooks methCR125 was unbeatable out there for a long time cause they pulled the long straight at full noise and nimble enough on the weight to carry a drift round the back half. YOu guys will do well up there for sure.

Marshy, you and ur "relaxed" riding style better watch out for ma meth burning, mx250 munching CR125 with a loose rider onboard on sunday. Excuse me while I go wipe this egg of my face...................................................but its the tar and feathers that are proving most difficult to remove Sorry steve couldnt see the egg, i was busy and didnt have time to look over my shoulder all day. We didnt have feathers, so must just be ya hair hehehe NAh .. sorry take it back. I was stoked to see you pull 3rd on the day. Truly good effort and a nice comeback from living in trail land all this time. Think youll be gaining ground on the longer AUSA track, less gearchanges too, so you wont see the selector issue so much. Twas Good Day racing and we all left happy so thats what its all about. I also had some good feedback about how you guys presented yourselves, sorry - rephrase - how the bikes presented themselves, seems a few people were impressed that we still take pride in 35yr old bikes, and are not some rusty old buckets of puss ( banberry's excepted ). So pat on the back there too ! ( wish you had clear coated that freshly painted tank Rob yet ?? ;D ;D)

I'll echo CR4evers comments in that I had a blast. Dirt Track has a silly grin factor that nothing else quite matches. Havent had that much fun for quite a while.......... Especially now the cramps in my legs have finally gone away and my neck that I squished at the first mototrial of the year now is starting to function normally.
Jeez talk about rusty. I had completely forgotten how to tapdance on the shifter and flog the living daylights outa the throttle and clutch. Spent most of the day struggling with getting a smooth lap in and when things started to fall into place then both my legs started cramping . Obviously have spent far too much time riding trials where u dont sit down. But at the end of the day it confirmed my suspicions that I have been riding Mototrials too long and riding skills have become too polarized.
Things have changed ....electronic lap scoring and timing.....bloody unreal. U can find out exactly how u went and with lap times as well.
Great effort to have a decent field in all the classes so racing was always interesting for the spectators. Mind you those sidecar boys are a bit nuts....especially after they tried to see how many chairs they could stack together in the first corner and after that they wanted to find if anyone had taken a pic of it. But it was good to catch up with Mud n Tars people I hadn't seen in years.....it was like I had never left.
And good to see more people read these boards than I thought after a few people bailed me up on Sunday...... I was thinking sometimes that maybe it should be renamed the Marshy forums as he seems to be the only one on here sometimes.
Re my gearbox ........might be quite simple.....haven't changed the gearbox oil since 2002.
And re the presentation of all pre 74 class Yeah fantastic! Some of those bikes looked like they had just rolled out of the showroom so an excellent effort......except for maybe an unknown tm250 rider who looked like a real total grub as he hadn't washed his riding gear since last season.....which also goes to explain the trail of flies following him around the track as well......
Got some pics to upload too....only a few so I'll upload em here rather than wack em up on picasa. Can u fill me in on how to do it marshy cos i cant get it to work.

Can u fill me in on how to do it marshy cos i cant get it to work. 1. lower your arms 2. we have 118 members, 65 page veiws a day, after the little tiff on the forums at start of the year a few folks have taken a break sadly. MAybe im just too opinionated and post it. 3. Nah they were wet when i got back from Boadford and i went back to work everything got chucked in the shed, till this week , promise ill do some washing this week if i get a chance. 4. i normally just upload to photo bucket or your host, then drop the image url in the post, just make sure you use [img)either side if each pic [/img) or use the little picture frame icon above 2nd row, 4th across and it will add them for you, but paste in between the 2.and use the square parenthisis - i had to use ) or it looks for an image and would have shown it as a blank. if in doubt think there is a tutorial in the help bar above too failing that email them or the links ansd ill drop them up

slanderous dog.......ouch that hurt.... Couldn't get past as all the flies following ur stinky riding gear made it absolutely impossible to see.....let alone the pong that made the CR run funny as soon as I got close. Who cut the fastest lap in pre 74s? ?? A 26.21. Even tho he was riding like a dog? www.orion-timing.com/results.htm

One lap dont make a pyramid. You have to get in and stay in the 26's all day. The fancy timing things wont give you a trophy even if you did a flat 24" , you only get scored when you cross the line stevo....... Dog needs to put it all together. Also noticed though that the pre 75 where lapping on average 2 secs faster than the pre 85.. ., also close or less than some Moderns who were mostly on 27/28's as were sidecars. only thing consitantly faster where some of the lightweight kids. wonder what an ALL race would look like ?? I noticed we all got slower by the end of the day. I know my left leg was going to sleep in the last race, i reckon today is the first day my legs dont hurt everytime i walk or get up, whats with that Are we getting that old and out of condition ? I'll have to make more of an effort to get up and go to the lunch room for a coffee during the day, might be the exercise i need.... he he he ;D
