U are on the $ Marshy.....Rob had a little nap on the track...did very well to come back and grab 2nd in the 20 lapper, although I dont think he can remember any of it !

Marshy you have good sources! Obviously I was very tired from running around half of Friday night finding some methanol ( thanks very much Steve Fraser and Adam Machin for helping me out). Must remember to check that the drum I thought was full is actually full next time. A lady has film of the first race and will give me a DVD next week at Parawa MX. Thanks to brother Andy for giving up his first race win to stop and wake me up.....I'm a bit stiff and sore today, hope Luke's leg is OK! Very happy that my 79 CR250 went so well-it's a real red rocket!
Overall was a great day - time to rebuild all the motors for next year.

I was working at our place below with the excavator ( only weekend i could get it) but everytime i came off to think about going up for a look it was quiet, i reckon i only heard one race all day , so thats a good thing that the neighbours arent put out. HAd every intention to go for a look, but never walked up.

Spoke to a couple of guys from the bonfire and they kind filled me in. Still pictures or MPeg of the tangle would be good to see . what corner was it ? i got knocked out cold once doing a superman down in that bottom kink, landed on the back of my head....... still rode the next race later in the day and then the next day couldnt figure out how i rode it with bent bars etc ..........
Sounds like it was a good ride and good way to finish off a busy last half of the year.

You need to get back to me with what you want to do about shiming up thats gearbox or grab some end gears to pick up that float too.

Rob u would be well advised to keep that DVD away from Julia !!
Looks like the pre 85 class will have plenty numbers next year, we worked out should at least be a dozen maybe more ..

Found said incident just before it happened. Looks like #200 started it all . Is that Luke???

Anyway just after this pic there was a flat Elsinore and squished rider sprawled all over the track so I jettisoned the camera bag and gear as there was no movement from said rider. St Johns got there first(probably a good thing as I know stuff all about first aid) so he was in good hands.

Thanks for coming to help Steve ( don't remember anything after this picture!). Pretty slow crash but must have landed very awkwardly - old age doesn't help either! Didn't practice on the 125 as i was doing flag duty, it loaded up a bit and was slow off the line - paid the price here! Trying to keep it secret from the wife or my future career could be at risk- not easy when all 4 kids were there and saw it all! So far so good.....
