Why not start the Dirt Track season in March again? It would go a long way towards making the calendar LESS congested in the middle of the season. Have the first one at Victor as the weather is alway cooler down there than any of the other tracks at that time of the year. Then the rest of the Dirt Tracks can be spread further apart. A lot of riders do more than just ride Dirt Track, so have DT events competing for entries on the same weekend as other events is just plain DUMB. The obvious bonus is then if DT isnt run on the same weekends as other disciplines then attracting more riders across from those disciplines becomes much easier............And dont get me started on the dismal effort put in to promote Dirt Track in this state...

You're right there gasgas, there are riders that like to do more than just dirt track, the more you can get to crossover disiplines the better for the numbers in those all facets of motorcycling. motor cycling is then the winner!

Yeah good point Steve...its pretty cramped up to be fair. Im pretty sure they organize everything else then just fit dirt track in at the end where possible. Motorcross / Enduro's ugly sister......

Dead right Bessay ...everyone is a winner then. Its not rocket science. Just organize the calendar with the least amount of event date clashes. Its not that hard to do. Did that a while ago when I was involved with Mototrials. Spread the season out. Start it at Victor when its cooler than anywhere else. Minimise the number of conflicts where too many events are on the same day. Initially all the usual bigmouth whingers had a howl about the changes. But now 2 years down the track, entries in Mototrials have just about doubled and new riders are coming across from Road Trials and Enduros because events are not conflicting any more. As I said ........its not friggin rocket science.

I am putting to word out to see if we can garner support for a proper SA DIRTRACK website that will have entry forms, results, pics, vids, info and any late breaking news. Cheers Gman %@
