Nah......... im doing the Acusa MX vintage next weekend, then i have a ride at the SA speedway classic at Gillam, then that OCt out of the way............. and my last ride for the year will be the November -- Gillman Dirt track round---- you'll need to enter your bikes for that, itll be great... just like Griffith and it will be a day nighter !!! mudntars.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=218i heard that Remark was a flop. Not one local entered - whats with that ?? so it was just a Mudntars away ride

All being well we will ride Gillman I think.....we are riding Acusa next weekend too which should be good. Definitely not as many entries as they would have liked at Renmark, couple Mildura guys went fast but I think the event was more of a feeler to see if they can run it as a round of state title next year. Still should try and ride last round at Days rd to get your bikes ready for Gillman, iron out any bugs after Acusa !

" I heard Renmark was a flop" Gee Marshy the last two times i've read this forum you have whinged. Firstly about the juniors having to many classes and now saying second hand info about the Renmark meet. Talk about negative. What Keachy and his fellow mudntars members did could only be good for the growth of the sport in this state. I only heard positive comments at the event and only have positive comments to say about it myself. Yes, only a handful of locals entered the event but the ones that did sure put on a clinic on how to ride, for all of us to see. Both my sons loved the track and racing under lights and we look forward to returning for a 2011 state title round at Renmark.

Gees Louise your prity harsh a small one line comment.... and then too back me up about being soo negative because of one other comment however long ago is a bit harsh too isnt it. But when you quote me, please use it all, not just pick bits out i heard that Remark was a flop. Not one local entered - whats with that ?? so it was just a Mudntars away ride Hey thats only what i heard and that was directly from a family member of the commitee.. so im not sure how second hand that really was. Constructively, if that was the public perception was, dont blame me. You need to fix it if thats what the market thinks before the next one. Maybe i should have just said 'it could have been better subcribed locally ??' ( although thats sounding all too politically correct ) But with out opinions were all just loaves of bread right ? reality is you cant please everyone ( junior v senior rides) My point when 'read in full' was disuss : .... HOW many local's as in renmark riders entered ?? IF it was only a few riders why ? what did the remark club do to get there members in , or what else can we do to help get them into it ? Mildura long track was on this week and so was gillman so all our sports need to sort out dates, people work and cant travel to everything. Im agreeing with you if you read into it a little more - what we're all saying is ... Dirt track cant survive by running the same old people and the same old races. So its a BIG hats off to the club and the volunteers for giving it ago and for tryin/ finding new ways to get the sport out there and new blood in. It would have come out eventually in a thread, so now its up for discussion -- The point is now to TABLE ALL the Negative and POSITVEs so there is 6 months or more to take that information and data and do somthing constructive with it. If there is no feedback how is it going to be a kick arse event that it could be ? Potentially as you say, if it was done right you would get all the Vic's coming over as Dirt track is strong in the riverland and NSW too. ITs got loads of portential and like you said those guys up there know how to ride fast and can really teach us how to get better, which is whats slowing down the SA events i think, its all getting a bit mechanical. We need that injection of talent to pick up the pace and take our local up and commers to the next level. Hey Andy, im trying to put the Dt1 in the YZ frame so i should be a starter for VMX next week. Ill think about Day road , but i also got the speedway in there too, and i would have to find time to swap everything back into the short track frame im trying to put together for the 30th. THere just aint enough hours inthe day. And then im still trying to finish building the house, 3 years and i still have no doors......... any how see you next week and see how we go huh....

Hey Marshy we missed you, 8 x 6 lap races for us old blokes was great, Everyone who was there had a great time, good weather, challenging track and we all came away better riders for the experience. The track was good fun to ride - though the right hander was pretty tough for the chairs. I heard it was the only date we could get the track and we needed to try it out for potential for next year as a State Title round - being last weekend of the school holidays and a lot of other things on didn't help. The Mildura boys that came were seriously quick and great to watch. Very busy schedule now for us classic guys: Historic MX titles ACUSA Park Sunday 24th October Days Rd ( round 2) Dirt Track Saturday 13th November Gillman Flat Track Saturday 20th November The brownie point meter is not looking too good, have to put in a big effort at home this weekend!!!!

Well, if nobody tells him....then whats the problem?! ;D
.....anyway he's a Yamaha rider, so reading anything more difficult than a grade 1 primer is beyond his capabilities. ;D
