Steve.... that has to be one of the best shot i have ever seen ! last year you were getting the hang of that camera this year you nailled it. I cant get over how good that shot is, you have the perfect focus and depth of feild, how good are the eyes !!!!! you nailed it ( or flucked it ) awesome, well done.
and Yep finishe putting the A together on the weekedn, ran a jett run on sat at robs and prayed all night, didnt work out -one pinigin it brains out and this one here lost the exhaust inthe 2nd round. YOU'd think by know i'd learn to get it right and sort my act out early.
NExt selling all the hangers on and keeping only the YZA/DT1 bikes and going to actually try to service them...

Best shot eh??? Nup on that one too Best pics I've ever taken was on my old Nikon FE2 Both my cameras decided to eat batteries and f_ck up their metering as well Most of my pics were trashed as a result. Left my fluro vest behind and couldn't get in on the infield like last year. Those OHS wankers have a lot to answer for.... Despite that had a good time ;D....those Whyalla boys sure are fast...... Marshy....too many bikes does not maketh the man

Marshy....and here's a bike that doesnt make expensive death rattle sounds or require insanely huge amounts of time money and effort to make it go fast and handle good. (hint- its a HONDA )

Nice pic Steve! Don't suppose you got one of race 30 where I actually got the holeshot ( and won - just!)?. Was pretty happy seeing that was my first mx ride since 1978, but I was way too slow on the pre80 250. Good fun day though, and those Whyalla boys in pre75 sure were quick....and Marshy actually had a very good day too, we had a couple of good dices. Are you coming out at Days rd or Gillman DT next month?

Actually that Cz behind you in that was was quick off the bat. Never saw him rest of the day so he must have had problems, but he was smoking in the first race

YEp. spot on. just looks strange cause the short shafts make the lower body look longer where i have extended the bottom mount. I set it up the same distance as my CR125M shocks which i think is 14', would use them but one of the shaft leaks and is pitted, on my list to fix. hence im going to fix all the keepers and cut loose the progects. I have spend less in the last 4 years on All bikes inc modern than robbie has in the last 6 months...... next year im going to stop being a tightarse and sort my fit out, it getting embarassing haveing bikes that are zip tied together on race days.
the expensive death rattle was due to all the mismatched bits i used to cobble that motor together, if i thnk about it it has about 5 differant model parts init, mostly Dt1 and Rt1 and more 5mm spacers than you can count....... the onky YZa bit on it at the time was the barrel. I thought the rattle was in the piston, but yet to check ( was a new wiseco one) the engine case bolts came out under the mag eeek was hoping it was only that, but still knocked its brains out, retartede the Ign, still no big change.... going to have to pull the head next week and have a look in there and see if there rings or pistons hitting the head or somthing. Its always somthing else huh.

It sounded to me like it was horribly lean on the needle and main. What jetting and carb was in it? Andy....just give it time. u probably just need to spend more time on it to get used to its characteristics. As for race 30 where u got the holeshot ....definately missed it . Wasted a lot of time swearing at cameras that were eating batteries and not working properly. Looking to race at the Spekky. Just have to fiddle with some new setups this weekend ;D Pics are up! ;D Clicky here...... picasaweb.google.com/throttlethrasher/SAHistoricScrambleChampsASASidecarChamps241010#And this is what a properly presented bike should look like.....altho if mine looked as good as this then I would probably have issues with taking it out and getting it roosted

Hmmm.......those pics r One would think after almost 10 years of digital cameras that some of these manufacturers would be able to work it out and produce something at least half way decent by now that doesnt cost an arm and a leg . Obviously not. Been looking at digital slr to replace all my aging heaps but mostly I have yet to be impressed by anything in the sub $2500 range.
