Round 1 : Sunday June 5 Victor Harbor Round 2 : Sunday July 10 Victor Harbor Round 3: Saturday July 30 Renmark Round 4: Sunday August 28 Victor Harbor REMINDER ENTRIES CLOSE FOR ROUND 1 ON FRIDAY MAY 20 - so get them in soon! And please read the special notes about changes in the GCR's for 2011 - you must have back numbers, knee and elbow guards, and an absorbent mat ( old towel?) under your bike (in the pits) this year as per the 2011 MOMS GCR's. Also 250cc 2 strokes can be entered in either Snr Lites or Snr Open - but not both. Let's hope the weather Gods are kind to us- again!

For MX (see page 152). No - 250 4 stroke can only run in lites. Open is 255 and over 4 stroke, 250 and over 2 stroke - but 2 stroke riders can only ride one class. MA are following the USA where they have seen the "lite" and let 250 2 strokes run with 250 4 strokes in all amateur MX races. MXA magazine tests showed exactly same lap times for 250 2 and 4 strokes. 125/150 2 strokes still need a class of their own though....not that there are many left - KTM and Yamaha?

We were lucky with the weather, no rain and a great day's racing had by all. You beat me by .007s in event 6, can't get much closer than that over the line - depending on where your transponder was! 12 races and 3 practices was a bit too much for me physically - hands and legs cramped up really badly a couple of times towards the end. So where was Steve the gas gas man?

your right Marshy was a great day...had a ball. Apart from Dougys tyre mark up my leg pretty much unscathed ! At least weve worked out the best time to beat Rob is at the end of the day, so I reckon we should propose to hold 8 heats for each class next year....

YEAH maybe just have more practices and send him out first and then just run around out the back till he wears himself out. Took the 2 vavle to mildura for the speedway on Sunday long weekend. did 4 heats plus a final and then also swung on the sidecar for a couple of heats till we got gearbox gremlins, surprised how fit i was really, reckon its down to racing the last few months. the more your riding seems the better you pull up. i reckon you guys will be right now the first session is out the way. Off to the Dt nats next weeks so should have enough riding under my belt to make ait through all the rounds ..... with out passing out.

All good, perfect weather, perfect track. Only down side was the scoring system was a bit dodgey particularly when they ran heats but not crossed riders so not eevryone rode against everyone in the age etc. Mid pack in the 125 i borrowed and finished 5th in the sidecars so was all good The track was about 100-200m bigger than Gillman, perfect kink on the backstraight, great pits, covered drop gate line. nice surface. the week after was the Aussie Junior long track titles so the track was well grooomed and watered. It really open your eyes to what little we have here in SA, they really need to get a porper track going in SA, be it at tailem bend of somewhere. Victor is too small to take serioulsy and only certain bikes suit it, and you will never get a Aussie title over here until you do. Acusa alought longer has its issues both in its administration, preperation and layout. IF we can get a decent track built somewhere or exsisting ones set up properly i think dirt track can really take off, but as things stand its only treading water and can only keep its head above water. THere are heaps of riders in speedway, motorcross etc that would ride events but the set up atm doent really encourage it or forfill the needs to get them over. Im greatful for what we have but if we are serious we need to make another step forward. iTs a dam shame the goowla track hasnt come together.....
