Heres one for u...Rob and I just bought some new schmiko Airoh helmets from UK (similar to what the GP MX boys wear), they come with a British standards sticker on them but not an ASA sticker....My question is will we get grief at scrutineering ?? I have sent an email off to MSA asking same question just wondering if anyone out there might have an answer..

nah. not a problem. read your MOMS. The answer is in there. Your Airoh will have some form of Euro CE approval no and that is all u need. You only need an ASA for Road Trials afaik. I asked exactly the same question when I bought my Airoh last year. Cool helmet..very trick very light

You will be fine. I brought a Bell helmet from the US about 12 Months ago this also does meet the Aust standards. I have had a few issues with people questioning me at scruiteneering, however I have kindly referd them to the rule book.
Cheers Adrian

YEp the mOMS has a pictorial ' whole page ' dedicated to it, prity easy to look up, probally before you went out and bought one.
No longer is ASA a requirement it just needs a cetification sticker listein the moms.
WFIW - the reason why ? the old ASA standard was based on early 70's standards and has never been basically updated for road use by the RTA, and MA realised the Euro certs are current and are far advanced of these 40 year old aussie standards.
if your Aero lid came out the UK it will have the ECE 22.05 standards and/or a British ACU Gold sticker, which is necessary for racing use.
YOU guys are all getting a litte bit to fancy for me.

....and for DT knee guards and elbow guards are compulsory this year? MOMS refer page 194 section 20.1.2.5 c..... (new)
Probably need to make everyone aware of this in the Supp Regs this year to save a lot of grief at scrutineering.
We always wear them anyway, saved my knees, elbows and shoulders several times last year!!! Just need some stronger ribs though!
